Its been a long and relaxing summer in Vana’diel and England. While the latter saw no sun at all, in Vana’diel the temperature soared as the yearly Summer Fest kicked into action.

SM got together at very short notice and decided to spam the hell out of the events >=D No matter how many times I do goldfish scooping it never ever gets old ^_^ its so fun! Tawooo was a crazy lady at it, getting so many fish she gave about 3/4 of them away XD (mainly to me, thank you!) allowing moi towards getting a goldfish set

So now I have a sweet Fighting Fish Tank!

I still need to get Alchemy to 7 ^_^; which I will do… someday… like… maybe by Christmas…

NEXT! Pretty dancing game thing.

This was also very fun and allot better then the events where we simply spam /cheer constantly. We all got our +1 gear so now we can party it up at Purgonorgo Isle! HELL YA! T10 points to anyone who can spot all the LS members in that picture~

Lil bit of info I just found out; If you wear the +1 event gear and then call your Adventuring Fellow they’ll have it on too pretty slick!

BUT IT DOESNT END THERE! Oh no. Three mini-games were added which we’re the best minigames ever in FFXI. In my opinion they showed PS2 limitations is a total cop-out excuse, as these games we’re really fresh and broke the mould of FFXI.

In a recent interview this was said:

Official in-game events have also really changed. Recently, the Sunbreeze Festival became a Superheroine Stage Show, which was surprising.

NOOOO SE. I loved this event, it was so fresh! I havnt heard one person criticise it, so i dont know where you get your info from… The last sentence concerns me slightly >.> sort of ‘I wont try any more’. Please dont think that ; ;

Although it was a great event I didn’t have as much fun compared to previous years due to LS drama centring around people not using chat filters, which was just ridiculous. But I digress…

Assault

The SM assault party got started up, which was amazingly fun to do! Laptop troubles made me miss a large amount of runs which I was gutted about ): However once that was fixed Assault provided a change of pace and was constructive too I’m not too far off getting the gear I’d like. Since we’ve all gone back to uni the statics been on hold due to the mayhem going on, but i’m soooooo up for getting back into the swing of this ! Just gotta sort out my uni net first…. :/ I just tried to dual-box with Barthezz and it wont let me here. What am i gonna do >_< I’m so used to having Barth at my beck and call ; ;

Windurst Missions

Christ. It was back in July I changed to Windurst and I’ve not mentioned it yet! So far its been a hoot

The story resembles what I’d expect from an FF allot more then Bastok. Bastoks ended nicely but it didnt really have that Final Fantasy feel, but Windy packs a magical punch!

Ranks one and two I’ve basically been through before. Anyone remember Lawliet, Yotsuba or Callychan? (My friend Wes who speratically played FFXI, getting through three characters and never levelling past 15 over the course of two years XD) But while I knew what to do and what was going on, I’d never got to see the top of Heavens Tower before. What a great place it is!

Puts the Metalworks to shame! I spent ages just walking round here, observing all the different views and lighting. The celling is really unique, a sense of awe goes with it Simply put; this zone is beautiful. I can’t belive its from the original game.

Rank three took a while to get past. I had a semi static with Spankey and Amith so was always waiting on people to catch up XD Needless to say, we pwned!

The Sybils chamber is another unique and pretty area. It actually feels like she lives there with all the books and porn lying around. Looks kinda like my room actually.

Windy deffo got all the love when they were designing FFXI… poor, poor Bastok. I swear Basty was rushed into completion :/

While I’m on a slight tangent; I think its cool she has several Lady in waiting. Thats a nice touch that adds a sense of realism. Thats also kinda like my room.

BEFORE I COULD BLINK RANK 5 WAS HERE!

Despite the confusion in MillionsKnives soul over what he just witnessed, Knives trotted off on his merry way~

And boy did I look cool doing it. That lighting hits me perfectly. Maybe green is my colour?

Before I knew it my favourite CS in the whole game hit me in the face like a can of tuna;

Bastardo 5-1 came and went with ease. We completed two runs so Livija could get Datsi and Datsuki up a rank Gratsssss

Then came the easy Shadowlord fight. In the Windy story line, this was totally out of the blue…

‘The mystery of the Saru Towers, what could they be for? And what of the first summoner?’ You, MillionsKnives, must unravel this mystery.

This mission would have been great fun if we didnt have so many people along for the trip >_> I will never understand why people don’t:

1. Bring maps up before hand so that they know where to go, thus not being a burden on others.

2. Follow some who has one if they’re unable to bring a map up.

3. FOLLOW THEM IF YOUR USING OPTION 2!!!!

People always run off the wrong way, get lost, die, give birth or some shit like that when theyre meant to be following someone! DRIIIIIVES ME NUUUTS

*Ahem* The good news is we got there in the end.

To find out several people couldn’t get into the BCNM because of missed cut scenes etc….

Anyways, FIGHT!

The PLD there was a dood who showed up out of nowhere, he picked up the people who got lost inside the castle several times and then tanked the fight for us. His name escapes me but thank you whoever you were! And this is like… the… 4th time Plananx II has been useful! YAY!!

I kid,

It wasnt useful at all, he was taking barely any damage anyways. I should start Endgame just so I get to use my damn spells hahaha.

Das next mission involved public relations with the Yagudo. Apparently, to keep them happy, i needed to go kill three of their best men.

Prime Directive meant I had to follow their customs, so I killed them good!

Now the story started to get really good :0 We headed off to Yutunga and discovered the truth (for the second time ^^;) about the Tonberrys. However this wasnt easy at all

This fight was filled with lulz XD

I think we all died about five times each.

The mob pop points and linking factors were a bitch! Sight linking but you need to open doors to pop the NM (not to mention they see thru doors >.>) and then magic pots dotted about! Plus this tTnberry had one uber Rancor.

Amith got the record:

Amith takes 32,000 damage.

Lesson: Wipe your hate before this fight.

It was funny but like hell! Raises left right and centre XD

That just about puts me up to date. I’m now Windy Rank 8, and stuck there because our static has seemingly ended -_-; I’m not perticually miffed about that, but what it does ruin for me is the story :/ t’was nice going through the missions fast so I actually remembered what was going on and how things were linking in. But now I’ve forgotten what was what :/ hence I can’t write about the story much in this section…

We had our 3rd LS meet up aaaaaages ago which I forgot to write about. Zees is a pic of some chat shortly before hand. We were all sooo excited about meeting Dave XD

The meet up was really fun We had a day out in York, with mucho Pizza Hut! Our waiter told us if we sent the Pizza back it might get spat in XD But it was allllll a misunderstanding hahah. We ended up back at mine where w all partied the night away with Trivial Pursuit and Rock Band >=D We didnt get many good pics of that day ^^; but heres one for the lulz.

63 Moogles Killed! YAY FOR EVENTS!

Event Back-story: The Beastmen have been gathering crystals and massing in force as all the adventures are away from their homelands and off in Aht Urghan making 1337 exp! The Moogles decided that during this crisis where a Neo-crystal war could erupt they would hold a competition to see which is the better nation at war efforts as their leader is forgetful and while their at it, it seemed like a good idea to give out phycodelic 60s sunglasses. IM THERE!

When i got on FFXI the event had been out for just over an hour, so that was nice being one of the first to try it (ok, like the 900th but what the hey.) The little Moogle told me to venture to the Beastmen strongholds to retrieve crystal shards, in my heroism i chose Palbourgh cuz im lazy and its so close. I stabbed the Moogle, watched him fall to the floor and wriggle around. You and me both know events are made by Moogles to see how many adventurers fail and die in the process of them, so i kinda think of Events as a Me Vs Moogle week.

Event Moogle >> ’Opuk!! Gods it hurts!! YOU OPUKER!!!!’- What a potty mouth moogle, saying O**k like theres no tomorrow! But anyway i left the swearing Moogle and set out on my voyage!

Event Moogles 0 – Suicide Moogles LS 1

It was fun what with there not being any guides ^^ i was aimlessly running round the mines looking for a crystal, i went straight to the very top and ran all around that, no luck >.< it was actually on the 2nd level, i was making things too hard for myself ^^; got the crystal and BAM! back to Bastok. I went to find a moogle to present the crystal shard too, since i was pretty sure there would be no Event Moogle in the Markets anymore i went to the Mines

Event Moogle >> ‘oooo kupo, is that a crystal i see? [Good job!] Adventurer, i have a special treat for you in my pouch! May i take a closer look at that crystal? OPUK!!!! ARRRRG’

yea i shoved the crystal into its eye, it basically asked me to.

Anyways, he got me wondering what this treat was, so i took a look inside his Moggie Bag. WOAH! Pink sunglasses, im getting me of of those! *yoink* hmm, these arnt rare/ex, silly moogles *yoinks the whole bag*

Event Moogle: HELLLP! HELP!!! IVE BEEN STABBED WITH A CRYSTAL!!! HES TAKING ALL THE SUNGLASSES!!! ARRG

Heh, heh, thank the Gods i subbed Black Mage! While wondering around the Markets watching the Moogles rush around i heard a rumor that if you bring 20 shards of the crystal back u get extra cool glasses :O So i set off on my quest to get the coolerier sunglasses, Spencer and Spankey came along for the ride ^.^

Spankey Killed the new Event Moogle before he got the quest, so that was a minor setback, but it shows true spirit

This time we went to the Beastmen strongholds as u get two crystals from there, we even helped to whap a few of the NMs guarding the crystals which allowed us to carry four more shards ^^ you just /help on them and everyone helps kill them as its quite hard. A Drk claimed it and wouldn’t /help despite everyone shouting it, he died as you can see in the picture above . We got 20ish shards each pretty fast. By the end of the night the score was:

Yea they got one in ; ; One threw a Small Axe at spen when they saw he was reaching for his Great Axe (those things are prettyhard to hide). The Small Axe got him right in the mouth…. nasty…. he Home Pointed tho and everything was cool.

I’m nearly better throat is really annoying now and feels weird to breathe but i think it’ll soon be over!

First up 2day was G2 for Kreoger, a drg in the ls whos mad on soloing (G2 is the one with 3 mobs in Xarcabard). Last time i’d tried this it was to help someone i didn’t really know, as he was helping a friend or something. The outcome wasnt that great…

ya see, we died right next to the mob, so i couldn’t reraise as it never despawns. A galka from their ls came to raise us, but in his 40s, he agro’d the mob and just died, made me laugh seeing him come round the corner and insantly die u’d think they’d mention it agros. Everyone else HP’d while i fake d/c’d to try and get a raise the next day. Luckly Spankey came the next day and chainspelled me up then we ran like fuck ty for that Spankey!

Anyway, that was then, this is now. Since that horrible time SE had apparently lowered the mobs levels so me, Kroeger, Oz and Amith went to try. Though now i think about it, even if the levels hadn’t been lowered it would be damn hard to die with me(74rdm) Oz(75war) and Ami(74smn) there.

Turns out they were really easy, allot easier. Ami even swapped to drk for the last one. I also took some pretty pics, i love the icelands, the snow makes for such pretty pics. When its dark weather and there’s a purple glow it looks even better. On a side note, ive been wondering if i should swap the Xarcabard music for maybe ‘In the farplane glen’ from FFX-2 (the game may lack but that is a great bit of music) or ‘People of the Mountin’ from FFX -ie the Gagazet one. I’m just not sure if they fit, and i hear the Xarcabard music so little i kinda feel like i should listen to it when i do hear it.

I have too much time on my hands if im debating things like this lol, i should be filling that thought time with collage work.

i said during half term id get utsusemi:ichi, so now… im gonna finally kill some Yagudos..

I set my hp as windy and went as rdm/blm so i could warp back to trade them. i figure its prolly faster then subbing thf and running there and back all the time… k i could bring a scroll of warp but i cant be bothered to level my thief from 10 to 15.

i don’t know how long i was doing it for, maybe longer then it felt, but i finished the night with about 30 necklace’s. They drop allot faster then i was expecting and i didn’t find it that boring. It gave me time to talk to the LS which i hadn’t had chance to all day since I’d been a whm in party. I wish there was something i could do to show my love for SM, i feel like there should be something… but i don’t know what.

Im not moving my HP or leaving windy till i get 250 necklaces, so they’ll be plenty more of the picture above to come!

Well maybe l’ll level blm or rdm, but farm mostly

IM ILL! ;_;

owwwwww it hurts

;_; i have the flu. Good points are i got to miss a few days of college and work this weekend, and i thought i could spend all day playing FFXI. Bad points are; all my body will do is sleep! I can barely stay awake, and when i am up im constantly dizzy, which kinda scrapped my plan to play ffxi constantly as its hard to playwhen it looks like the camera is spinning in a circle… but… i have nothing better to do so l’ll die trying.

Before i jump into a post about Vana’Diel, wordpress?! yup im a traitor blogger, you had me when i was young and didnt know what i wanted, and now i see that im better then u, wordpress knows what i want! hes much more dynamic in all areas and looks ten times better aswell!WordPress is so good it even let me yoink all my old posts from blogger, pretty cool ne?

Ya know i just took a bath inbetween this line and the last, i feel so much better

so now the ff talk can begin.

Good news today, i made 16k by clicking a few buttons. Last nite Spankey who is a 69 Rdm tried Maat, me and Barthezz lent him some of our gear to give him the best chance, and seeing him in truely pimped gear made me think i should spend some gil on my red mage. Id been wondering on how to improve on my gear and the only thing i could think of was Wood Gauntlets, so on a whim i bought some. Their stats are:

Mp+55

Int+4

Dex+4

Vit-3

Hp-30

oh, how long id waited to wear these, made me feel cool, so cool….. mmmmmm

though after 2 mins with them on i compared them to my errants cuffs i had whichs sports these stats:

Int+5

Enmity-2

Hp-20

wait, they give me one less int? lol that sucks. ah well i have more dex, and if i ever get drk to 65 i could maybe wear them, i dunno….

i was sure the wood thingys gave me more int… and now that i look at the stats, im only getting 35 more mp :/

35 more mp and one less int for 400k more then what errant costs… that sucks. Up on the AH they went! (at a slightly higher price then bought for)

they cost 4k to put back up on the AH so thats a 16k profit for no work at all ;P That was a long story for such a little outcome, sorry lol

Back to Spankey Vs Maat, he lost D: Spankey is a good rdm in party, much better then most, but can falter abit in things like BCNMs, im not sure why. It was only his 2nd try tho, it took me 3 tries to win and 4 times for Barthezz. My money is on 5 for Spankey ^^; I dont think its helping him that he has mine and barthezzs ideas for how to win the fight hitting him in the face, as Barth seemed to do the fight very differently to me, seems like he chainspelled at the start. I kited maat untill i needed to convert then whacked out the chainspell. Id say my way is the better way (naturally) as its slower and gives u time to think, but Spankey never got the hang of kiting so im not sure what advice to give tbh. l’ll keep u posted!

Ive been desperate to lvl rdm, i want 75! And i need to make up for the 7k exp i lost in dynamis last week >.> but i cant get stuck in a party like that since i don’t feel well, so today i settled for leveling corsair with Livija and Kyle. We were in Qufim, and people are stupid. (i was writing an explanation about the other party’s around us, but its was long, and people are stupid sums it up). i didn’t level up because i hadn’t used my band, but im only 200exp to level 19 now, woo!

What else has been going on? HALLOWEEN EVENT! its the same as last year but what the hey, i still like it

Me and my sister went to the designated Halloween city for the event: Sandy. Nowhere else really has the Halloween feel does it? We were messing around, im trying to get a treat staff II because im so jealous that Livija used to have one on Chibimoon, they’re so handy! no luck so far but l’ll keep trading till i get one! we were also trying to get the pitchforks because i want the +1 version to use with my Mandy hat, but there seems to be a glitch. Livija couldn’t get a pitch fork when we were in costume, i thought it may be because i had one in my MH back in Basty, so i got it and dropped it, we tried again still didnt get one, then tried again in a diffo zone and then only she got one?! so we tried again and i still cant get one, whats with that? We just gave up but i think we’ll try again, better work!

After the event i pl’d her a little, trying to get her to level ninja so she can join in with the LS more and we can have fun >.<! shes finally got 12 and Utsusemi ~yay. (She had to stop using her 60blm as me and her were on the same account, now she has a new one shes obviously gotta level up from scratch)

Red Mage Rules: Learn how to kite! its fraking invaluable! Using Grav, then sleeping or binding the mob may seem simple but make sure u can do it well or you’re not a completely good rdm!
