Its been a long and relaxing summer in Vana’diel and England. While the latter saw no sun at all, in Vana’diel the temperature soared as the yearly Summer Fest kicked into action.
SM got together at very short notice and decided to spam the hell out of the events >=D No matter how many times I do goldfish scooping it never ever gets old ^_^ its so fun! Tawooo was a crazy lady at it, getting so many fish she gave about 3/4 of them away XD (mainly to me, thank you!) allowing moi towards getting a goldfish set 
So now I have a sweet Fighting Fish Tank!

I still need to get Alchemy to 7 ^_^; which I will do… someday… like… maybe by Christmas…
NEXT! Pretty dancing game thing.
This was also very fun and allot better then the events where we simply spam /cheer constantly. We all got our +1 gear so now we can party it up at Purgonorgo Isle! HELL YA! T10 points to anyone who can spot all the LS members in that picture~
Lil bit of info I just found out; If you wear the +1 event gear and then call your Adventuring Fellow they’ll have it on too pretty slick!
BUT IT DOESNT END THERE! Oh no. Three mini-games were added which we’re the best minigames ever in FFXI. In my opinion they showed PS2 limitations is a total cop-out excuse, as these games we’re really fresh and broke the mould of FFXI.

Although it was a great event I didn’t have as much fun compared to previous years due to LS drama centring around people not using chat filters, which was just ridiculous. But I digress…

Assault
The SM assault party got started up, which was amazingly fun to do! Laptop troubles made me miss a large amount of runs which I was gutted about ): However once that was fixed Assault provided a change of pace and was constructive too 
I’m not too far off getting the gear I’d like. Since we’ve all gone back to uni the statics been on hold due to the mayhem going on, but i’m soooooo up for getting back into the swing of this ! Just gotta sort out my uni net first…. :/ I just tried to dual-box with Barthezz and it wont let me here. What am i gonna do >_< I’m so used to having Barth at my beck and call ; ;
Windurst Missions
Christ. It was back in July I changed to Windurst and I’ve not mentioned it yet! So far its been a hoot
The story resembles what I’d expect from an FF allot more then Bastok. Bastoks ended nicely but it didnt really have that Final Fantasy feel, but Windy packs a magical punch!
Ranks one and two I’ve basically been through before. Anyone remember Lawliet, Yotsuba or Callychan? 
(My friend Wes who speratically played FFXI, getting through three characters and never levelling past 15 over the course of two years XD) But while I knew what to do and what was going on, I’d never got to see the top of Heavens Tower before. What a great place it is!
Puts the Metalworks to shame! I spent ages just walking round here, observing all the different views and lighting. The celling is really unique, a sense of awe goes with it Simply put; this zone is beautiful. I can’t belive its from the original game.
Rank three took a while to get past. I had a semi static with Spankey and Amith so was always waiting on people to catch up XD Needless to say, we pwned!
The Sybils chamber is another unique and pretty area. It actually feels like she lives there with all the books and porn lying around. Looks kinda like my room actually.
Windy deffo got all the love when they were designing FFXI… poor, poor Bastok. I swear Basty was rushed into completion :/

While I’m on a slight tangent; I think its cool she has several Lady in waiting. Thats a nice touch that adds a sense of realism. Thats also kinda like my room.

Bastardo 5-1 came and went with ease. We completed two runs so Livija could get Datsi and Datsuki up a rank Gratsssss

Then came the easy Shadowlord fight. In the Windy story line, this was totally out of the blue…

This mission would have been great fun if we didnt have so many people along for the trip >_> I will never understand why people don’t:
1. Bring maps up before hand so that they know where to go, thus not being a burden on others.
2. Follow some who has one if they’re unable to bring a map up.
3. FOLLOW THEM IF YOUR USING OPTION 2!!!!
People always run off the wrong way, get lost, die, give birth or some shit like that when theyre meant to be following someone! DRIIIIIVES ME NUUUTS

The PLD there was a dood who showed up out of nowhere, he picked up the people who got lost inside the castle several times and then tanked the fight for us. His name escapes me but thank you whoever you were! And this is like… the… 4th time Plananx II has been useful! YAY!!

Das next mission involved public relations with the Yagudo. Apparently, to keep them happy, i needed to go kill three of their best men.
Prime Directive meant I had to follow their customs, so I killed them good!
Now the story started to get really good :0 We headed off to Yutunga and discovered the truth (for the second time ^^;) about the Tonberrys. However this wasnt easy at all
This fight was filled with lulz XD
I think we all died about five times each.
The mob pop points and linking factors were a bitch! Sight linking but you need to open doors to pop the NM (not to mention they see thru doors >.>) and then magic pots dotted about! Plus this tTnberry had one uber Rancor.

That just about puts me up to date. I’m now Windy Rank 8, and stuck there because our static has seemingly ended -_-; I’m not perticually miffed about that, but what it does ruin for me is the story :/ t’was nice going through the missions fast so I actually remembered what was going on and how things were linking in. But now I’ve forgotten what was what :/ hence I can’t write about the story much in this section…

We had our 3rd LS meet up aaaaaages ago which I forgot to write about. Zees is a pic of some chat shortly before hand. We were all sooo excited about meeting Dave XD
The meet up was really fun We had a day out in York, with mucho Pizza Hut! Our waiter told us if we sent the Pizza back it might get spat in XD But it was allllll a misunderstanding hahah. We ended up back at mine where w all partied the night away with Trivial Pursuit and Rock Band >=D We didnt get many good pics of that day ^^; but heres one for the lulz.

Campaign Exp record and Barthezz is back :O!
February 17, 2008 at 5:15 pm | In Brenner, Chains Of Promathia, General FFXI, SM Events | Leave a CommentI made a personal record today My previous record of EXP gained from a single Campaign Battle was 3200 but I broke that by getting 3600 from a Pashhow Campaign. Spen (74 War) and Izzy (60 Sch) were with me got 1500 and 750 respectively from the same battle. Rdm really is the best job for getting EXP from the system. We can gain points for exp in all the fields, I also tanked mobs through that battle as Rdm/Whm. Sure Rdm/Nin would do better on the tanking front but Rdm/Whm can hold those mobs fine plus it doesn’t cost anything, has Erase (which is a godsend against Quadov NMs who AoE knock back gravity), has -Na’s and keeps me self dependent as I have Reraise. When tanking Divine Seal + Convert not only keep me going but keeps ze hate on me if some other fool tries to come and steal my exp *angry fist motion* The point is I <3 Campaign and Rdm lol.
One complaint is the faultly Mobs in Pashhow and the frickin’ NPCs. The Npc’s randomly charge out halfway accross the map to kill the mobs. Sonia ran and claimed Adamantking miles from the fort which pisses me off to no end xD they do this all the time at Pashhow. I’d always thought they followed player who were out to hold Mobs but she really did just run off.
Also the mobs are faulty, we were waitng 15/20 mins after the first wave for a 2nd one, eventually I ran to 1/2 down the map to see a Quadov NM stood still until he agro’d me, i ran for my life linking about 5 other quadov and dropped dead xD. He then headed towards the fort. I got up straight away and chased him, as soon as hit got to the fort 50 NPCs swarmed the NM, killing the it in 10 seconds, I shit you not. Its early days yet so I’m sure it’ll be fixed.
Ooo Ooo, another tip is you can lock the bastard Quadov NMs that AoE Gravity+Knockback into just constantly Protecting themselves by dispelling them constantly lol, makes them allot easier to kill.

Theres been two 40 cap Brenners in the LS. They’re allot more hectic then the 30 cap we’ve been doing and very fun. Ive gone as both Rdm and dark, Rdm cant hold out but Drk/Whm is hella fun! Blink helps a suprising amout and diaga really screws people over.
I love this shot of me killing Maruk >=D The way he’s kneeling down, falling to the ground with Livija stood staring while I drain the last bit of life from him. Seems like it has a deeper meaning xD
We’ve had a few brenners with 12 people and then they get down to about 6 of us as people have to go. Im really not sure which I prefer, 6 a side is so hectic and mad which makes it fun. However I like the 3 Vs 3 as it feels more personal and you can really analyse the other team.
I’m also gonna point out how insanely overpowered Sam is in 40 cap Brenner, freeking Seigan makes them untouchable. I’d never leveled Sam and i dont know much about it, but id always thought Diaga got rid of Thrid Eye/ Seigan but apparently not xD. We took subjobs off for the last round which totally screwed me over as Drk/Whm but Sam was still strong as ever >:| DAMN YOU TROOPER!

He’s back and transferred to hades As soon as he got on he was back to helping me which I feel bad about >.< We went to skill up in the Tree and I finally got 240 sword skill and this:

We are at the Ose for frigging ages and didn’t see it pop. I’m at 90/300 points from it though can’t wait to get that WS! Also while there I treated myself and got me this:
yes, yes, its kinda late as I’m 75, but what the hey. At least it made up for not getting the Assault Jerkin.
Barthezz comming back makes me realise how little I accomplish in game without him >.>; My last major breakthrough was Rank 10 in Bastok and that was with his help. When he logged on I thinking ‘hmm, I should really go to the AH and get some better gear xD’ because nothing has changed since he left lol. In the end there wasn’t really anything I could get except Wooden Gauntlets and l’ll be fooked if im spending 700k on them. Oh well… I did plan to have Nin at 37 by now, but Ni has jumped from 270k to 350k just as I need to buy it. I saw it for 270k and thought, ‘It’ll fall in price.’ -_-. I burnt the last of the seals I had with Lee and Spen on PP in the hopes of Ni but we didn’t get anything useful at all.
CoPs being slowly going ahead. The Minotor fight was allot easier then I thought, Livija back-tanked making it easy as hell. Even getting there went very smooth ^^ We tried to farm a few subligars after but didn’t have enough people.
Tonight is the first try of 2-5 @_@ wish us luck.

November 8, 2007 at 12:03 am | In Brenner, General FFXI, SM Events | 2 CommentsTwo weeks have past since the last Suicide Moogles Brenner so the time had finally arrived for a repeat performance, Woot! Blood, guts, and gore all over the ls floor was the expected outcome!
The battle was the now standard 30 cap Brenner event with one rule, no /nin. The rule had caused allot of debate from one particular summoner, you know who you are! but lets not get into that
Twelve members showed up for the event which was a nice surprise, SM is a small social ls and to get twelve people on at once was weird lol we all talk too much and it was hard to follow any of the convos when we get that many on! Luckily twelve made an even six a-side match ^_^ and this time id made sure to confirm the booking so we got in on time without a hitch, yay!
BOOM! Ahhhhrg! [Death]
The matches were a blast! Id come along as Drk/War this time and my damage was so pretty damn cool – and drain is very nice in PvP! One thing i didnt think would be so handy was Bind. I used that spell more then i probably have in my entire time on the game, binding the little critters who have the flame or [Run away!] when they’re about to die is really evil and fun lol
The first match was computer picked, and it ended up my team had two pet jobs and a whm, giving us quite an unfair advantage, we were up on points for nearly all of the first match, but at the last minute we somehow fell apart and lost o.o; gratz to the other team tho! For the 2nd match we stayed in the same teams and mine won this time, yay! this was due to Ozrox’s strategy: kill Amith, the summoner. It helped quite alot ^^; i felt very bad for Amith, but that damn AoE paralyze move had to go ;P
For the next match Me and Oz were set as team leaders and picked out teams, i didn’t really like this as it reminded me of P.E when u pick football teams and the last one always feels crap. This wasn’t really the case as in my opinion everyone was great so i basically just did ip-dip-do, Oz on the other hand was more planned and i think he got 3 Warriors on his team – this lead to a major power imbalance XD
My team lost. odd huh? lol
[A blog i read a few days ago mentioned how all ls members gang up on the leader and its so true lol. why? ; ;]

Best Player:Maruk! 30Thf/15Blu – what a combo! He capped his marksmanship especially for Brenner, and it was a good idea too @_@ he’d ranged attack us to near death (i think he had sleep/drain bolts not sure tho) and then when u did get up-to him he’d have cacoon up and use some badass blu spells, and thats not mentioning when he’d rape u with SATA. I really didn’t think Maruk could be that focused lol. You get 10 Aram points Maruk!*

Other news:
Myself and some other ls members helped lee to finish off his RSE. Miyakia came as her friends Thf character for the TH2. Lee needed the body and legs i think, and after a file of killing 3 keys dropped all at once XD so we had a mad rush to find the chest so he could lot on the other. but atleast it made for a quick RSE run ^^
While we were there we spawned the Aroma Leech and got the drop for him on the first kill^^ so gratz lee, you got the full set of 30 RSE. . . and i still dont after killing those damn Aromas time after time…. *evil eyes*
Nin news: im level 12 now ^^ yay dual wield and shadows, tho im gonna be the tightest ninja ever for the amount sehei (sp?) cost! Im finding the job quite fun, with meat and /whm i can go on solo for quite a while and get good exp, im not sure when l’ll start partying, i’d imagine being a ninja in the dunes isnt great at all – and i normally enjoy the dunes!

Two level 8’s in a row >_<;; The first one didnt go well, Lamia are horrible and mean, if only they were mermaids instead…. anyway, we won the first but lost a few generals, so at the start of the second we had two left and,
They dropped dead pretty fast.
The Galka went down almost instantly. Our last general, the hume, poped up on my screen so i stuck to him like glue. Good news was four other mages did too, bad news was, that hume general is very, very dumb. He just ran off and got a train off mobs! No amount of mages could have kept someone alive through that amount off ass rape off trolls. His Hp got to 0 very fast after all our Mp ran out ; ; we all fled to the Candy Shop in a last ditch attempt.
Everyone was counting down the time before the trolls up and left, the shouts were somewhat like this:
20 mins to go- Awww man we’re doomed.
15 mins to go- Hold them back! OH GOD HOLD THEM BACK!!! Mages -Ga and run!!
10 mins to go- Keep it up hades!
5 mins -to go Woot we’re gonna win!!!!!!!
4 mins to go- where’d they go? we lost?! ; ;

October 29, 2007 at 3:38 pm | In Brenner, General FFXI | 2 CommentsWith not much to do yesterday me and Amith decided to have a 1 on 1 in Brenner to liven things up! Hes just hit 70 Drk and as you know i just got 75 Rdm ;P slightly unfair levels wise but we just wanted a bit of fun, Brenner/Balista are still new to me so I’m up for exploring whats best whenever i can ^_^
We got in and started to mash each-other! drk/thf and rdm/blm as i couldn’t be bothered to change sub but it worked out for the best ;P Amiths dmg was pretty good but with a few enfeebs he wa pretty screwed lol, i flicked off my new Thunder spell followed by a blizzard and he was pretty much dead. Ive been trying to figure a way to beat Oz in 1 on 1, its one of my goals in FFXI to kick his ass. I lost to him in my first try as my sleep seemed to only last two seconds, but this time round against Amith all my enfeebs seemed to stick and last for the normal length. I dont know if they’re nerfed or not now.
A rdm Vs drk is obviously pretty unfair tho, so Pod decided to come along as his 66 blu/33 nin. In our first match with them two Vs me we had 5 minutes before our Brenner reservation was up, and i killed them both with a min to spare XD Remember i said /blm turned out to be a good thing? because sleepga got through Pods shadows, making life easy.
After that we decided to go get the Gheselba Outpost Balista spot. This time Amith and Pod were more organised and they were allot harder to beat. Pod started to self-destruct, get my stoneskin down and then ami would nearly mash me. In the end tho i did kick their asses mostof the time. So pod Switched to his 73 Bst/nin as he was sick of dieing.
Things stopped going my way from then on. 70 Drk/thf, 73 Bst/nin & Courrier Carry Vs 75 Rdm/blm = Dead Millions.
Poison potions were my downfall D: Pod bought some when he changed jobs (he takes things way too seriously lol) and without being able to sleep them i didn’t have time to buff me up and de-buff them because 3 people hitting me made casting spells very hard lol >.< Without stoneskin i was a gonner D:
Also a slight problem was I have no idea how Bst works, i dont have it unlocked and never partied with one. I thought once his pet was dead there’d be some sort of wait before he could get another out but i guess not, i tried to pick of the pet and then deal with them two but another pet just poped out the blue >.< Spaming DoT spells was all i could manage to hurt them in the end
I guess it makes sense thats i couldnt beat two lvl 70+ people and a pet, but im sure there must be a way >.<
It was fun tho ^^ and because of the sparing with Amith im pretty sure i stand a better chance of beating Oz in 1 on 1 now for when i next fight him >:D
I want to kick ass ._.
Other news~
Me and Maruk took down his WSNM, so gratz for getting ur WS and level 75 on Sam. A guide said two lvl 75s could take the monster down and while we did do it that was a damn hard fight! The mob hit hard and fast, plus it possessed a spooky resistance to enfeebs. Maruks Hp kept getting pretty low but he didn’t die, i came out of the fight with about 20 mp. close call! Although getting out of the Caves was harder then the fight! I had no Mp and we kept getting agro out of the blue, even with sneak. That was scary ._.
OOO cute story too, my little 4 year old cousin was over for the day, shes never played or really seen a computer game so to her what was going on my laptop screen was just a TV show. I typed ‘/wave motion’ and told her to wave at Millions so she did, and then he waved back! She was stunned lol and kept waving to him every other minute, all i had to do was quickly press up and enter so hed wave back and she thought it was magic lol. I also showed her that he could move wherever she wanted etc. Then she noticed his sword, she instructed him to go fight something, i zoned him to the Thickets where she saw the spiders, ‘waaa’ she whimperd followed by the order to kill them! Millions started on the spider but i was too busy entertaining her to notice the Spiders had linked, when i looked back at the screen Millions stumbled and fell to the ground unconscious (doh back to 74!). My cousin stood shocked as Mill lay on ground, i needed an excuse…
‘…em, hes just tired… so hes… gone to sleep for abit.’ Well, lame excuse but as they were getting ready for bed i thought it might stick that he’d decided to go to sleep… in the leaves… the important thing is she bought it lol, though after 5 mins of him on the ground she began to question why he wouldn’t wake up ^^; Amith rased me later so all was well in the end as she saw him ‘wake up’ just before she went to bed ^^ (and i got my lvl back, yay)
